 The
Family Wedding - Today, more than 1 in 4 marriages involve children. Many
brides and grooms come together with one or more children present from previous
relationships. Other couples may already have children of their own.
The Family Medallion®, designed by Dr.
Roger Coleman, was created to assist with the need for 'family
weddings' and to provide resources for supporting family commitments.
Studies show that children accept a parent's re-marriage more readily when they
are included in the wedding plans, and are given a tangible symbol of being
embraced by the new family. The Family Medallion® provides this message of
love and affirmation and many couples are choosing to present the Family
Medallion® to the children during the wedding ceremony itself.
Each Family
Medallion® order
includes a copy of 'Celebrating the New Family', a resource booklet
for using the Family Medallion® during the wedding service. The Family
Medallion® consists of three intertwining
circles within a larger circle. Two of the circles symbolize the
union of the man and woman in marriage, while the third circle, represents the
joining of children to the union. All three circles are contained inside a
larger circle, signifying the new family which is being created that day.
The Family
Medallion® is
available as a pendant, lapel pin, ring, key chain, or charm bracelet. Each medallion is crafted from
the finest metals including sterling silver and 14K gold, using the 'lost
wax' method of casting which guarantees that each Family Medallion® will
always be of heirloom quality.
Since the Family
Medallion®
is a symbol which honors the bonds of love, it may also be presented on other
occasions such as births, baptisms, the blessing of a child, birthdays,
anniversaries, religious holidays, Mother's Day, Father's Day and leaving home
for college or military service.
The Family
Medallion's®
expanding circles signify love's willingness to include others. As you
wear it or share it with others, may your love for one another continue to grow
in ever

Family Candle' is a resource for including the lighting of a
family unity candle in wedding, adoption or blessing
ceremonies. The candle lighting ceremony may be used along
with the Family Medallion presentation. Each candle set
contains a unique Family Medallion candleholder, a 9" white
unity candle, two matching 9 1/2" candles for parents,
keepsake matches for re-lighting the candle on each
anniversary or holidays and directions for a candle lighting
ceremony. Each holder is individually hand made from ceramic
and fired with a mother of pearl glaze. The set holds up to
seven candles in addition to the unity candle and the candles
for parents. |

Medallion®

matching 18" chain and accompanied by a copy of our ceremony resource
booklet, 'Celebrating the New Family.' Lapel pins, rings, key
chains, and charm bracelets are
boxed and also are accompanied by the appropriate presentation ceremony.
